About
Over a 3-year period, a series of two-day courses running in June and February each year will cover the entire syllabus in hand surgery. Each course will explore a subject area in depth with innovative teaching combining lectures, small group tutorials and simulation.
The penultimate course in series 9 will be the popular Wrist Course. The concept of this course is to cover all aspects of wrist surgery, both elective and trauma. Pre-course material will cover biomechanics and kinematics of wrist movement along with a video guide to clinical examination and radiology of the wrist.
Couse content
Course content will include:
- Scaphoid injuries
- Scapholunate ligament injuries
- Distal radial fractures
- Perilunate dislocation
- DRUJ instability
- Injuries to the TFCC
