The BSSH Autumn Scientific Meeting 2023 will be taking place on Thursday 23 November to Friday 24 November at the SEC in Glasgow.
Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland, and the third-largest city in the United Kingdom. It’s also one of Britain’s 32 unitary authorities, handling local government for Glasgow City Council. The city is very well-known for being one of the UK’s most important industrial centers, with a strong focus on fashion, retail and technology.
Glasgow is know as the city of famous surgeons, It has a strong tradition of medicine. The oldest university in the city is the Glasgow School of Medicine, founded in 1451. It became part of the University of Glasgow on its foundation in 1900. The first person to be granted medical degrees in the city was John Yolkranz, on 4 December 1575. He was professor at St Mary’s University for 40 years, and published several medical textbooks.
We welcome the Indian Society for Surgery of the Hand to this meeting.
We strongly advise leave is booked early for the Glasgow Scientific Meeting due to the industrial action currently affecting the NHS. Although there is not currently any plan for industrial action during our meeting, this could change if action continues.
