Target participants
• Trauma, orthopaedic and plastic surgeons
• From ST3 and above through to consultant level grouped according to experience
• SAS surgeons
• General trauma surgeons involved in the management of hand injurie
Course objectives
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
• Interpret x-rays to plan management of distal radius, ulna and carpal injuries
• Describe patterns of injury
• Consider evidence based treatment goals
• Use dorsal and volar approaches
• Practice reduction and fixation
• Anticipate and manage complications of fixation
