DESCRIPTION:Are you passionate about surgical research? Whether you are a UK based surgeon\, fellow\, resident doctor\, allied health professional\, career researcher\, or academic with an interest in advancing surgical science\, we invite you to join us for the Women in Surgical Research Conference on 2 June 2026 at the historic Guildhall\, York.\n\nThis inspiring event will bring together a diverse community of clinicians and researchers to share knowledge\, experiences\, and opportunities in surgical research. The programme will feature expert speakers\, personal research journeys\, and practical insights into developing research skills across multiple surgical disciplines. There will also be dedicated opportunities to showcase your own work and to connect with colleagues through meaningful networking.\n\n \n\nAbstracts: Candidates are invited to submit abstracts on any surgical topic\, with a maximum length of 250 words. The highest scoring abstract will be shortlisted for oral presentation at the meeting taking place on 2nd of June\, with the remaining abstracts invited to be presented as poster presentations.\n\nAbstract Submission now open please use the following link to submit your research:  https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/82082/submitter\n(Closing date for abstracts Friday 17th of April 2026)\n\nCost: £60 per person – with a number of subsidised free places for medical students please contact rebecca.jefferson2@nhs.net if you would like to go on the waiting list for a free place\n\nChaired by: Emma Reay\, Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon and Royal College of Surgeons Surgical Specialty Lead for Hand Surgery\n\nCancellations: All cancellations need to be made through your account.  For those who do not attend without cancellation\, your line manager will be notified and a charge may be incurred. All paid events have a strict cancellations policy.\n\nCertificates and feedback: Upon completion of this course a certificate will be available for you to download from your account along with any other post course information.  Please ensure you complete your feedback so we are able to continuously improve our training.\n\n
