Held in conjunction with the American Association for Hand Surgery\, there will be a packed schedule of presentations\, workshops\, and networking opportunities. We are also pleased to have many other visitors\, including delegates from the China\, Japan and India. This unique opportunity will deepen our interdisciplinary global collaboration and help us learn from one another.\n\nThe meeting will consist of innovative talks and debates covering topics such as fractures\, training\, humanitarian work\, nerve injuries\, paediatric hand\, sports injuries\, brachial plexus\, Dupytren's and many more.\n\nWe will be joined by many overseas friends including Dr Charles Goldfarb\, Dr Warren Hammert\, Dr Harvey Chim and Dr Sanj Kakar\, from USA\, Dr Daniel Herren from Switzerland\, Dr Wen Dong Xu and Professor Shanlin Chen from China and Dr Takehiko Takagi from Japan and many others.\n\nThe first day will be followed by a drinks reception at Edinburgh Castle with a viewing of the Crown Jewels. At this stage the planning team is gauging interest to look at the feasibility of the event. Mike Hayton is the BSSH ‘Ryder Cup’ representative\, and Mike is collaborating with Warren Hammert and Harvey Chim from AAHS to organise this event.\n\nThe tentative plan is to have a dinner before the golf on Monday evening November 2\, 2026 at the iconic Forgan House. Forgan House is the 2nd Club House of the R&A\, overlooking the Old Course 18th green\n\nThen on Tuesday morning November 3\, play a round of golf on one of the stunning St. Andrews Links courses (likely the Eden or Jubilee course – TBC).\n\nParticipants then travel back to Edinburgh from St. Andrews on Tuesday afternoon.\n\nSt. Andrews is a small town\, and everywhere is within walking distance. BSSH will provide housing accommodation recommendations for all budgets for those interested in participating in the Ryder Cup but you will be responsible for booking your own travel and accommodation.\n\nTravel:\n\nBy car from Edinburgh: approximately 75–90 minutes (car sharing from Edinburgh likely available)By train: Edinburgh to Leuchars\, then a short 20–30 minute taxi to St. AndrewsGroup taxis/minibuses would also be available to organize individually or as a groupDraft itinerary:\n\nMonday evening: Dinner at Forgan House\, the R&A's second clubhouseTuesday morning tee times (course TBC\, aiming for last tee-off by 11:00 due to shorter daylight)Tuesday afternoon travel to Edinburgh to join the Conference.Fees to participate will follow once interest has been confirmed. We will not be running e-poster sessions at this meeting.
