Held in conjunction with the American Association for Hand Surgery\, there will be a packed schedule of presentations\, workshops\, and networking opportunities. We are also pleased to have many other visitors\, including delegates from the China\, Japan and India. This unique opportunity will deepen our interdisciplinary global collaboration and help us learn from one another.\n\nThe meeting will consist of innovative talks and debates covering topics such as fractures\, training\, humanitarian work\, nerve injuries\, paediatric hand\, sports injuries\, brachial plexus\, Dupytren's and many more.\n\nWe will be joined by many overseas friends including Dr Charles Goldfarb\, Dr Warren Hammert\, Dr Harvey Chim and Dr Sanj Kakar\, from USA\, Dr Daniel Herren from Switzerland\, Dr Wen Dong Xu and Professor Shanlin Chen from China and Dr Takehiko Takagi from Japan and many others.\n\nThe first day will be followed by a drinks reception at Edinburgh Castle with a viewing of the Crown Jewels. We will not be running e-poster sessions at this meeting. Instead\, successful submissions will be assigned either as a free paper or an emerging concept and given a slot within the programme.\n\nOnce abstracts have been scored\, if accepted\, they will be assigned a presentation time slot on the programme of either 7 minutes\, 5 minutes or 3 minutes.\n\nAll accepted abstracts will be presented orally. \n\nFree Papers will be the highest-ranked studies with mature data and strong scientific or clinical impact or focused\, high-quality studies with robust early or confirmatory results.\n\nEmerging Concepts will include innovative ideas\, case reports or small series\, technical developments and new clinical approaches.\n\nAbstract submission instructionsAbstract title must not exceed 30 wordsAbstracts must not exceed 300 wordsPlease write the title of the abstract in sentence caseTables\, graphs or other graphic elements will not be accepted\, and should not be included in the abstractIt is recommended that the following headings are used when submitting abstracts:\n- Aims\n- Methods \n- Results\n- Conclusions\n- An introduction should not be included unless essential Abstract Themes \n\nThe BSSH has introduced eight themes in which the abstracts are to be submitted in.
