DESCRIPTION:BAHT are pleased to announce that the 2023 annual conference will be held on the sunny south coast in Bournemouth! This year we are back to being fully face to face. This will allow us to maximise on the networking and workshop practical opportunities that we have missed in recent years!\n\nWe are focusing on the multifactorial theme of sustainability. We plan to acknowledge the responsibility that we all have in making our practice\, and ourselves\, fit for the future - this is in 'In Our Hands'.\n\nWe are pleased to announce Margareta (Maggi) Persson as this years keynote speaker. Maggi is a certified occupational therapist and works from Uppsala University Hospital in Sweden as well as running her own long established private practice. Maggi is a recognised speaker at conferences around the world including Sweden\, Croatia\, China\, Finland and recently at the IFSHT Congress in London. Maggi has held position of president of IFSHT and is committed to the education of hand therapists worldwide.\n\nFollowing on from previous years\, the programme will feature a mix of plenary lectures\, symposia and workshop sessions including:\n\nSustainable FuturesUlna sided wrist injuryAdvances in nerve injury managementWorkshops to include practical clinical assessment\, splinting opportunities\, wound care and health and wellbeing topics\n\nWe also look forward to welcoming back Grainne Bourke\, BAHT President\, to present an update on the developments of hand transplants!\n\nA social conference dinner/networking opportunity is included in all 2-day conference tickets\; the dinner will take place on Friday 1st October at The Hilton Level8ight Sky Bar.
