BEGIN:VCALENDAR VERSION:2.0 PRODID:-/-/EN BEGIN:VEVENT SUMMARY:Orthopaedic and Trauma Conference UID:4612 DESCRIPTION:Join us for our ever-popular Orthopaedic and Trauma Conference.  This one-day event will feature clinical updates\, topical presentations and lively panel discussions.  6 CPD credits will be available.\n\n \n\nTopics will include:\n\nFoot and ankle surgeryPaediatric surgeryHand surgeryHip surgery \n\nWelcoming both face-to-face and online delegates\, the event will be relevant to everyone involved in orthopaedics and trauma\, including consultants\, trainees\, SAS doctors\, medical students\, physiotherapy colleagues and orthopaedic and trauma nurses.\n\n \n\nThis conference will be fully recorded and will appear on delegate dashboards five working days after the conference for a period of three weeks. \n\n \n\nPoster Competition\n\nWe are now inviting abstracts for the poster competition.  The top THREE will be selected to give a short oral presentation during the meeting and all other accepted abstracts will be displayed on a digital showcase throughout the event.  An overall winner will be announced at the end of the day. \n\nEntries for the poster competition should relate to case report\, audit\, quality improvement project or a clinical trial/study.  Poster submission criteria can be found in the ‘Downloads’ section below.\n\n \n\nSubmission deadline:                                 5 April 2023\n\nSubmissions should be sent to:               donna.johnston@rcpsg.ac.uk\n\n \n\nPlease note that all successful applicants will be required to book a place at the meeting.\n\n \n\nCadaveric and Practical Courses – 18 May 2023\n\nThere is an opportunity to take part in one of our two clinical skills courses prior to the Conference both of which are an integral part of the Glasgow International Trauma and Orthopaedic Meeting:\n\n \n\nFoot and Ankle Cadaveric Masterclass\n\nOr\n\nPrinciples of Intramedullary Nailing\n\n \n\nOur cadaveric and practical courses allow for unparalleled hands on experience\, which will allow participants to develop their operative skills.
