DESCRIPTION:The half day course is focusing on the training of flexor tendon repair techniques using 3D printed anatomical simulation models\n\nTarget Audience:\n\nPlastic and Orthopaedic Surgery SHOs and also medical students considering a career in these specialties.\n\nLearning Outcomes:\n\nThe participants will join in lectures delivered by consultants on anatomy and then flexor tendon repair techniques and then practice their skills on the 3D printed simulation models.\n\nAfter the completion of the course the participants should be comfortable with performing the following techniques:\n\nAdelaide core sutureModified Kessler core sutureCruciate core sutureEpitendinous sutureSilfverskiöld sutureIdentification of zone of injury and anatomy of flexor tendonCourse Fee:\n\nFREE- Participants will have to buy the model online (50GBP)\n\nFlexor Tendon Repair Workshop using 3D printed simulation models\n\nThe course\, in addition to the practical aspect\, will also include both video and live demonstration of techniques performed by expert hand surgeons. Upon completion of the training session of the course\, the participants are assessed on their performance at specific repair techniques by the mentors and are provided personalized feedback on how to improve their technique.\n\nKey Features\n\nVideo demonstration material of techniques performed by Hand Experts provided to participants to review prior to attending the course.Innovative 3D printed models for anatomical accuracy1:1 Mentoring and scoring after the completion of training.Faculty to participants ratio: 1:3\, assessment of participants skills in a 1:1 setting.
