Thank you to Medartis for sponsorship of the implants and to Stryker for sponsorship of the power tools for this course.
This is a high-fidelity cadaveric course aimed at senior trainees and fellows. Each delegate has 2 whole days in the anatomy lab with their one cadaveric arm (above elbow specimen). The course covers phalangeal fractures, metacarpal fractures, distal radius fractures, and scaphoid fractures. However due to the very high faculty to delegate ratio (1:2) there will be ample opportunity for delegates to explore any procedure they wish. The faculty is diverse and consists of orthopaedic and plastic hand surgeons. A full theatre realistic environment is provided including power tools, implants for all situations, and mini-C-arm. There are no lectures/presentations discussing anatomy, with delegates given pre-course material. This maximises the cadaveric opportunities. In 2019 (2020 course was cancelled due to COVID) the delegate feedback was universally excellent.
