This course has been run since 1996 by Donald Sammut and David Evans, starting in Windsor. It has evolved into a core training course, essential training for many with an interest in hand surgery, or who are preparing for hand surgery exams.
The course is structured around five sessions of dissection performed by senior hand surgeons. Each session consists of prosection of fresh cadaver limbs and a running tutorial demonstrating the anatomy, including applied anatomy, surgical application, incisions, approaches etc. Each table consists of small groups of participants who are able to assist the prosection, handle the tissue, question and discuss.
The course is open to all levels of surgeon and to Hand Therapists. Applications are welcomed from other specialties and from surgeons and therapists from outside the UK. The course language is English.
Registration costs £650 and 13 CME points are available
